Please join us for Deborah Heart and Lung Center’s 6th Annual Electromechanical Therapy Institute Symposium on October 2, 2010 at the Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood, NJ. Open to Family Practitioners, General Practitioners, Internists, Cardiologists and Allied Health Professionals, this program offers a comprehensive update of practical and clinically relevant information, with an emphasis on new therapeutic and evidence-based alternatives in cardiology.
AF1
The clinician will be able to understand atrial fibrillation with specific regards to etiology and anatomy. The indication for ablation therapy as well the technological and procedural aspects of AF therapy will be discussed. The clinical will also take home the complications.
AF2
The clinician will be able to understand the arrhythmic consequences of atrial fibrillation therapy.
The indication for repeat ablation will be discussed as well as specific anatomical aspects to the arrhythmic. Robotic ablation will be discussed.
AF Med Rx
The clinicians will be able to understand medical therapy for atrial fibrillation with regards to antiarrhythmic therapy as well as anticoagulation. Post ablation recommendation will be outlined in detail.
VT 1
The clinicians will be able to understand ventricular tachycardia specifically ischemic based reentry and non-pharmacologic approach to therapy. Anatomy with regards to etiology an ablation approach will be discussed. Diagnostic EKG will be discussed with regards to VT orgin.
VT2
The clinicians will be able to understand ventricular tachycardia specifically the idiopathic forms. The mechanism of each type of idiopathic VT will be addressed as well as diagnostic criteria with basic ECG. Anatomical approach to ablation therapy will also be conveyed.
AF3
The clinicians will be able to understand AV joins ablation for atrial fibrillation. The indications for the procedure will be discussed as well as anatomical consideration. Pacing will be addressed with specific regards to resynchronization.
Case Reports
The clinicians will be able to understand a basic approach to SVT’s specifically AVNRT, AVRT and specific AT. ECG diagnostic acute medical management and ablation therapy will be conveyed.
